The Rage Of Paris: Review

French actress Darrieux made her American movie debut here as, what else, a beautiful young French girl who arrives in New York City seeking work as a model. She learns of a job available as a nude model for a commercial photographer and goes to "audition," but she gets the address confused and winds up in Fairbanks' office and begins to disrobe for him. Thinking her a gold-digging blackmailer, he kicks the girl out. Later, she hooks up with ex-actress Broderick and her accomplice Auer who both see a way to make a quick buck, as they decide to manage her career by enticing millionaire Hayward with the girl's charms. Luckily, Hayward happens to be a close friend of Fairbanks', and when the latter learns the girl has resurfaced, he warns his buddy that she's no good. Finally, of course, Fairbanks and Darrieux fall in love, which solves everybody's problems. Note Mary Martin in her film debut. leave a comment
