A dull tale of a common working man trying to change his oppressive life stars Borgnine, who takes his loving wife Leslie and son Corcoran on a well-deserved vacation after slaving away as a draftsman in bullheaded boss Brian's construction firm. When a special job arises, Borgnine is called back to work by Brian, and the overworked draftsman reluctantly cuts the trip short. When Corcoran realizes they have not picked up a rabbit trap they had set while in the country, he demands that his father turn back and get it so that any poor rabbits that have been captured can be freed (this is what is known as a symbol, for those too dim to see the obvious). Brian, however, thinks Borgnine's request for one more day to do this is ridiculous and makes him come back to work immediately. This finally spurs Borgnine to stand up for himself; he walks off the job to be true to his family. While the intentions and acting are good, the clumsily written material lacks any depth or subtlety. leave a comment
