Hip, jokey western from cult director Sam Raimi (THE EVIL DEAD). Sharon Stone does The Woman With No Name; Leonard DiCaprio does the Greenhorn Gunslinger (he's even called "The Kid"); Gene Hackman does Gene Hackman. It works chiefly as a parody of the Sergio Leone spaghetti westerns of
the '60s -- which were, of course, themselves parodies of the genre classics of Ford and Hawks. Recommended as an antidote to anyone still suffering from WYATT EARP hangover.
