The Quick And The Dead

Cedar is ordered to destroy a hidden Nazi munitions dump in northern Italy during the final months of German occupation in WW II. His platoon suffers casualties en route and is finally captured by the Germans. While being held, the men are joined by Barrett and Donnigan, two Italian women. During an air raid everyone escapes, and two of the Americans make their way to the dump. They destroy it but are killed in the process. Meanwhile, the Italian women try to lead the rest of the Americans to their secret hideout. Once more there are casualties, but the women and two Americans reach safety. This straightforward war drama has plenty of action but no depth or insight...
