The Purple Hills

In 1870s Arizona, Nelson is a cowboy who shoots down a wanted outlaw. But when he rides into town to collect the $8,000 reward money, he is met by the dead man's partner, Taylor, who claims to have done the killing. Things get stickier when Summers, the younger brother of the dead man, vows revenge for his brother's killer. Bender, a local sheriff, decides to settle the argument by having all three ride out to the dead man's grave. En route they meet Barnes, Summers' guardian.
