Barker is framed for two murders he didn't commit. One of them is a hit-and-run, of which Oberon is guilty and trying to cover up. The other is a murder at a dog-racing track. Fleeing from the gangsters, Barker hops into Oberon's car and is eventually arrested, but the police are able to
untangle the events. An interesting idea to which the plot doesn't quite do justice.
