Byron is cast as the President of the US in this film about a nationwide conspiracy of business tycoons to force a war in Europe to better the economy. The chief executive's assistants decide that it is best for Byron to drop out of the public eye for a time, in order to avoid the
possibility of being forced into war. A fake kidnaping is staged, diverting citizens' attentions toward the crime and away from the possibility of taking up arms. Interesting mainly for its expression of the anti-intervention policies that many held in the US before WW II. Otherwise the premise is
weakly constructed. This film was undoubtedly inspired by GABRIEL OVER THE WHITE HOUSE.
