Thin plot has Murphy, a photographer for a model agency, falling in love with Shirley while her sister Landis, trying to make it as a model, also has claws out for him. This is just an excuse to display some admirable musical performers including Benny Goodman. Unfortunately the direction does not do a very good job of combining musical pieces with the narrative. Songs include: "Three Dreams," "Out of This World," "The Lady Who Didn't Believe in Love," "Partners," "We're Looking for the Big Bad Wolf" (Jule Styne, Kim Gannon), "A Pretty Girl Is Like a Melody" (Irving Berlin), "I Know That You Know" (Vincent Youmans, Anne Caldwell), "One O'Clock Jump" (Count Basie, Harry James), and "Roll 'Em" (Mary Lou Williams). leave a comment
