The worst of the short-lived series of Stuart Palmer murder mysteries featuring the whodunit team of Oscar Piper and Hildegard Withers. While Gleason held his role as the gruff police inspector, a miscast Pitts replaced Helen Broderick (who previously supplanted Edna May Oliver) as Ms.
Withers, and Pitts' usual flighty antics failed to convince audiences that she could have been able to figure out the convoluted mystery surrounding two seemingly unrelated murders. At length it is revealed that the killings are tied to a scheme by a gang of international art thieves to steal
artifacts from a museum.
