The Phynx

A disappointing all-star extravaganza with a silly plot that must have been sold to the assembled cast by one of the greatest con-men of all time. The "plot" concerns a secret American government agency that forms a rock 'n' roll band to infiltrate Communist Albania and rescue the American entertainers who are being held hostage there. A computer advises the agency to gather together a black model, a college radical, an athlete, and a native American for a typical, youth-oriented band eventually christened "The Phynx." After some not-so-hilarious comedy interludes, the band makes its way to Albania, collapses the prison walls by churning out unbelievably loud elect...
