A badly made picture, but it was one of the first horror/science fiction films released by Sam Arkoff's and Jim Nicholson's new production company, American Releasing Company, which would soon turn into American International Pictures. Taylor stars as an oceanographer hired to investigate a giant sea monster that has been eating some unlucky swimmers and fishermen. Once underwater, Taylor discovers that the creature is a man-made mutant produced by evil scientist Whalen to guard some underwater uranium deposits.
