The Perfect Alibi

An interesting British murder mystery which quickly eliminates the "mystery" from the plot by revealing the killers from the start--a la Hitchcock. On a country estate, just before a grand dinner party, the host, Smith, is murdered by Lorraine and his villainous partner Ward (who previously appeared in the silent classic VARIETY). Their alibi is perfectly plotted out and even witnesses can verify their whereabouts. It appears to be a suicide, but young lovers Boyd and Lawton prove otherwise.
