A pretty bad sequel to the slightly better THE LAND THAT TIME FORGOT that now has Wayne (John's son) flying to the tropical island of Caprona (somewhere in the icy Arctic) to rescue McClure, who has been waiting to be saved since the end of the last picture. McClure has been fighting dinosaurs and dodging erupting volcanoes while growing his beard out during the wait. He's also managed to teach English to cave girl cutie Gillespie, whose diminutive furs no doubt help to keep him warm. The men manage to get their plane back in the air so they can hightail it out of there. The special effects are sub-Bert I. Gordon, but in color, turning THE PEOPLE THAT TIME FORGOT into the movie that people will forget. It made some bucks but couldn't put AIP back on its feet. The second entry in the Burroughs-based trilogy, filmed in Britain and the Canary Islands. leave a comment
