Sellers is an actor from India who is brought to Hollywood to star in "Son of Gunga Din" and proceeds to destroy more property than an LA earthquake. When Sellers manages to blow up the film's most expensive set, the producer has him blackballed, but things get mixed up and the actor gets an invitation to the producer's party. The slapstick comes fast and furious as Sellers breaks up the party and demolishes the producer's mansion. With PINK PANTHER director Blake Edwards at the helm, it's not surprising that Sellers' character is an Indian version of Inspector Clouseau, without any of the charm. The script quickly runs out of gas thanks to the one-joke story line and Blake's uninspired direction. leave a comment
