Terry plays a minister who arrives in the mining town of Panamint to clean it up. He's as quick to use his fists as he is to quote from the Bible. His successful attempts to reform the criminal element in the town are washed away by the flood that destroys Panamint. The story is told by
the town's mayor, Ruggles, who also discovered the mine that the town was built around. This is a remake of two earlier editions: the 1916 Paramount version directed by William Desmond Taylor and starring Dustin Farnum, Winifred Kingston, and "Doc" Cannon, and the 1922 version under the title,
