Dexter is Billy the Kid who hangs up his guns in an attempt to forget the past and start a new life. Things go well until the local preacher, Rogers, is shot down by a band of outlaws. Since the murdered man was a friend, Dexter has no choice but to go after the killer. The film's style
seems more in step with westerns made in the 1930s and 1940s by Republic and other B movie production companies. Director and co writer Drake scripted for Tom Mix, George O'Brien, Johnny Mack Brown, and others.
