The Naked Runner

The plot of 1985's TARGET (starring Gene Hackman and Gayle Hunnicutt) is not unlike this effort, and the results are similar: incredulity and boredom. Ever since Brad Dexter saved Sinatra from drowning, he's worked for Ol' Blue Eyes, here as a producer. Director Furie, who thinks he is Vermeer with a camera, gets in the way of any possible suspense by employing a self-serving arsenal of trick shots. Sinatra is living in London with his teenage son, Newport, and the two plan a trip to Germany. Sinatra sees a familiar face from his WW II days, Vaughan, who now works for British intelligence.
