In 1941 Eaton arrives on the island of Crete just ahead of the Nazi invasion. She wants to get her archaeologist father, Nurk, off the island and to England before it is too late. The Nazis invade the island soon after, and Nurk is killed. Eaton finds refuge with an all-female force of guerrillas led by Scott. Eaton helps them, and Scott offers to get her back to England. After one escape attempt fails, Eaton continues to help the band of freedom fighters and falls in love with Scott. The finale of the film has the women stripping off their fatigues and swimming underwater to blow up a German munitions ship docked in port. With the important mission over, Scott arranges for a British submarine to take Eaton back to safety. Eaton is probably best known as the painted girl from GOLDFINGER. leave a comment
