The Music Goes 'Round

Richman is a Broadway star who is fed up with show biz. He goes AWOL from rehearsals and ends up down South on a showboat. Struck with a change of heart and amused by the innocent good-heartedness of the boat's show business troupe, he brings his newfound players with him to New York and features them in his show. Of course, by New York standards, the showboat crew is amateursville, though they don't realize it. After being humiliated, Hudson walks off the stage and gives Richman a well-deserved sock in the jaw. The film is about as interesting as it sounds.
