Average programmer stars Smith as a police psychiatrist out to capture a crazed mugger who leaves small scars on the faces of his female victims when he takes off with their shoulder bags. During the investigation, a girl is murdered and it appears to be the work of the mugger. When the
thief is apprehended and denies the killing, the cops set out to catch the real killer. As it turns out, the killer is the brother-in-law of the victim and a personal friend of Smith. Okay performances and a fast pace render this outing fairly entertaining.
