Completed in less than a week for under $12,000, this Roger Corman debut set the pace that would eventually make him "King of the Quickies." With a budget as cheap as this, Corman simply couldn't go wrong, even with Ordung's nondirection. Kimbell is vacationing in Mexico when she takes a dip in the water and discovers that she isn't alone. Her visitor, a gigantic one-eyed octopus, sends her directly to marine biologist Wade.
