Ericson is hired by a fearful oil company executive who wants the supposedly accidental deaths of four of his geologists investigated. Ericson's snooping leads him to cafe singer Albright, who is also the ex-wife of an oil company head. She has recently got her hands on some of the
company's stock and is determined to make life difficult for her ex and his lover, another stockholder. Ericson uncovers the tangled plot before any more blood is shed. Albright delivers a couple of tolerable tunes: "Two Lovers" and "Help a Good Girl Go Bad."
