Stamp is a 30-year-old man who has been in a coma since birth. American neurosurgeon Vaughan brings him to consciousness and Davenport begins to put the man-child through an accelerated education program. Stamp becomes a media sensation when a TV crew tapes his progress for a television special. Vaughan and Davenport clash over the educational technique.
