The Miami Story: Review

A documentary-styled crime melodrama with Sullivan as an ex-gangster who is hired by a citizen's committee to compile evidence against Miami crime boss Adler. There have already been two gang killings and the people want to put an end to the violence and vice. Sullivan masquerades as a rival Cuban gangster to get the goods on Adler and solve his own son's kidnaping. Apparently this film was inspired by the US Senate's crime investigations of the time. An introduction by Florida senator George Smathers lends credibility to the gritty story. leave a comment
