Fay gets amnesia and disappears. His wife, Eldridge, believes her husband to be dead and marries Gleason. Five years later she passes by a barber shop, and who should be the man with the shears but her "dead" husband. Though cute in parts, the leading players aren't much to speak of. Fay overacts while Eldridge predates Charles Bronson using one facial expression and a monotone voice throughout. Some cheap homosexual jokes are made between Fay and Gleason, which were probably daring for the day. The action takes place on only two sets--Remade in 1941 as KISSES FOR BREAKFAST. leave a comment
