The Marines Fly High

Predictable yarn has Ball as the owner of a cocoa plantation at a Central American site which is also the outpost for a Marine platoon. Dix and Morris are the uniformed men fighting for Ball's affection. The two men get a chance to prove themselves when Ball is kidnaped by bandits who have been terrorizing her plantation. Even though outnumbered 10 to one, the small group of Marines manages to hold on. Acceptable performances are marred by an unbelievable plot line and plodding dialog. The original director, Nicholls, was killed in an auto accident in mid-production.
