Inane premise for a film has Phillips trying to help a boys' club by threatening to publish nasty material on people who have recently passed away. By accosting the bereaved relatives right after the funeral, he hopes to blackmail them and thus raise the needed funds for the boys' home.
But he runs into problems when he tangles with a gangster's family. A few good laughs are offered, but not enough to carry the film. Film also tends a bit too much toward the sentimental side in a manner that is totally unnecessary.
