The Man Inside

Fast-moving action-adventure film features Patrick as a mild clerk who has been ogling a famous diamond for 15 years, then decides to steal it (this character and motivation is similar to Alec Guinness' in THE LAVENDER HILL MOB). He commits a murder in order to rob the gem, then is soon seen as a dapper, dashing man-about-town in various European cities. Palance has been privately hired to track down the diamond and, within minutes, a corps of different folks is after the jewel, including Ekberg, who falsely claims that the diamond belongs to her family.
