Another of the innumerable 1930s British farces, which are generally lifeless and very, very forgettable. The story revolves around the cooked-up premise of Kendall's finally gaining a vote of confidence from Burnaby so he can marry the latter's daughter. To do this he first apprehends
those responsible for the theft of Burnaby's costly jewels, a feat that Kendall achieves without knowing that he is solving a crime. It's difficult to find anything amusing in this tired story.
