Hale is on the hunt for Outlaw, a stolen stallion which is supposed to be used in a promotional stunt publicizing a cartoon strip. Since it has never been branded, the owner cannot make a legal claim, but the thief is tricked into returning it. Photographed in Trucolor, an offshoot of
Magnacolor, which Republic was fond of using. The Sagebrush Serenaders and Hale provide the singing. The songs include "Ridin' Down the Trail" and "The Man in the Moon Is a Cowhand."
