A somewhat tedious version of the Maximilian and Carlotta tale produced in Mexico and bought by Warner Bros. when producer Torres claimed he had made his movie before Warner made JUAREZ. Nagel and Novara star as the doomed figureheads of Mexico propped up by Napoleon III (played by Post).
