In this touching children's story Sterman faces prejudice when he moves to Denmark from the West Indies after his Indian mother and white father die. The boy befriends a poacher and is given shelter from the hurt he receives at the hands of the townspeople. But this man is captured for
his illegal activities, resulting in Sterman being sent to reform school. He escapes and finds refuge in the home of a squire. Originally made in 1959, this film did not find its way to America until 1970.
