Fairy-tale-like romance from Hong Kong set in fourth-century China has Tih as a young woman who persuades her parents to allow her to study at the university disguised as a boy. There she falls in love with fellow student Po, but she cannot reveal her identity for fear of losing her
chance at higher education. When Po learns of the deceit years later, he travels to Tih's home to see her. Once there, he discovers that she is about to marry another, and he commits suicide. Learning of his death, Tih discards her wedding gown for mourning clothes and visits Po's grave. A vicious
storm erupts, and Po's grave opens, pulling Tih in. When the storm passes, the grave reope...
