The Lost Missile

An alien missile circles the earth at such a rate that the heat caused by its velocity destroys Ottawa, and New York City is next on the list. Scientist Loggia saves the day by building a minute hydrogen warhead inside a nuclear missile which blows away the lost missile of the title in the final moments. This was the last film directed by Berke (he died shortly after production), who specialized in series westerns.
