The Long, Long Trail

1929, Movie, NR, 58 mins

Gibson is the Ramblin' Kid who is entered in the annual rodeo. He's doped by bad guy Mason, but Gibson, being the hero, can still ride and stop Mason from stealing the sweepstakes money. This western was the first talking film for Gibson, an early film for veteran character actor Brennan, and no, that isn't the English actor Mason. The exciting concluding scenes of this film were done in an early large-screen process, Magnascope, a precursor of the later anamorphic-lens processes such as CinemaScope.
