The Lieutenant Wore Skirts

Fun little farce features Ewell as an aging war hero, now a television writer married to the somewhat younger North, an ex-WAC herself. Despite his best efforts, the Air Force calls him up, though he is rejected eventually for medical reasons. But North is accepted, and Ewell becomes a sort of male serviceman's wife, stuck on the base while his wife is out on patrols. He schemes to get her out of the military, failing every time, until nature solves the problem when North gets pregnant.
