Ayres is a Marine stationed in China, where he and a buddy brawl in a barroom and the buddy is accidentally killed. Ayres is cashiered out of the service and takes up with gunrunner Burke and with Jewell, who also is stranded in the Far East. Conclusion has Ayres shooting it out with arch-villain Naish and getting out of the chop suey melange all in one piece. Some stock shots of cruisers at sea and Marines in Shanghai are handled adroitly and help keep this one interesting. leave a comment
