The Lawless Rider

A band of criminals murders ranchers and rustles their cattle. Carpenter, who produced and wrote this film, is the marshal who, with the help of trick rope champion Bascom, puts a stop to the evildoing. An average story is spiced up by well-directed action sequences from Yakima Canutt. This was the last film Canutt directed; he put most of his remaining efforts into stunt work, building it into the profession it is today. Canutt would also continue to work as a second-unit director.
