The Last Word

Harris portrays a likable Irish inventor whose bad business sense keeps him and his children in dire financial straits. He gets entangled in a fight with city hall after the rundown building he lives in is slated for demolition. He also discovers an unlawful redevelopment project that will stuff the pockets of the governor, McGuire. Facing eviction, Harris abducts a sheriff and holds him prisoner in the apartment until the crooked McGuire can be exposed.
