Written and directed by funnyman Marty Feldman (best remembered for his appearances in Mel Brooks' spoofs YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN and SILENT MOVIE), THE LAST REMAKE OF BEAU GESTE puts a comic spin on the classic 1939 Foreign Legion adventure. Beau Geste (essayed by Gary Cooper in the original) is now played by York; his brother Digby (originally Robert Preston) is played by Feldman.
