Tedious courtroom drama has Conway on trial for the murder of his neurotic wife, Sellars, by means of a sedative overdose. The jury must decide whether her death was premeditated or accidental. Conway is found not guilty, and later it emerges that his housekeeper, Jackson, has had him
framed by identifying the wrong body as that of Conway's wife. Sellars is indeed alive, having been given the wrong card in the hospital.
