The Last Escape

This WW II action picture, filmed in Munich, stars Whitman as an American officer who joins British soldiers trying to rescue a German scientist from the Nazis. They infiltrate Germany, take the scientist and several refugees, but are chased by SS officers and Russian tanks. The script is laden with cliches, but the director handles the action sequences well. Performances are adequate.
