Uneven crime drama in which Wickham plays an insurance investigator on the trail of a gang of notorious jewel thieves who use the novel idea of putting the jewels inside of donuts, which Gullan then purchases. Wickham manages to join up with this bakery gang to further his investigation,
almost getting himself mixed up in the murder of Gullan. Gullan names his killer before he dies, however, and Wickham wraps up the case--crooks, jewels, and all.
