A wretched melodrama has Compson down on her luck until she is befriended by the wealthy Emery. He hires her to woo his son, Darrow, away from the gold digger that he's involved with. She does so and in the process falls in love with Emery, a bit of news which comes as quite a surprise to his son. leave a comment
