The year is 1700, and McClure plays a courageous British naval officer who heads to Madagascar to help rid it of pirates. He goes undercover, landing a job as a navigator under Stockwell, and the two vie for the affections of St. John. McClure's true identity is revealed when British warships sail into the harbor. The fast-paced direction helps to hide any weaknesses in the script, and the performances are adequate. Remake of AGAINST ALL FLAGS (1952). leave a comment
