In his first starring role, Price is cast in this sequel to THE INVISIBLE MAN as the brother of the original film's lead character. Wrongly accused of murder, Price has scientist Sutton inject him with a serum to make him invisible. The standard effects are used to their fullest, with Price
accidentally reappearing at the wrong times and the proverbial floating gun that takes the guilty party by surprise. Hardwicke is fine as the evil nemesis. Claude Rains, the star of the original THE INVISIBLE MAN, does appear in a photograph. The film's special effects were nominated for an Oscar,
but lost to THE THIEF OF BAGHDAD.
