Glitter: Renée Zellweger in Chicago

Question: Renee Zellweger has been nominated for an Oscar three years in a row. Can you tell me how many other times this has happened? Has anyone ever pulled it off more than three times in a row? Thanks!Answer: William Hurt and Russell Crowe have both been nominated for best actor three times in a row, Hurt for Kiss of the Spider Woman (1985), Children of a Lesser God (1986) and Broadcast News (1987) — he won for Kiss of the Spider Woman — and Crowe for The Insider (1999), Gladiator (2000) and A Beautiful Mind (2001). Crowe won for Gladiator. And just for the record, Zellweger's three-in-a-row nominations were for Bridget Jones's Diary (2001), Chicago (2002) and Cold Mountain (2003); the third time was the lucky one for her. SINKING FEELING

David Hasselhoff and Pamela Bach

It looks like things might get a bit nasty in David Hasselhoff’s divorce from Pamela Bach, his wife of 16 years. In documents obtained by The Insider, the Baywatch alum's lawyer is looking to snuff Bach's bid to obtain some of her husband's medical records. (Although there are no details about the sought-after files, Hasselhoff has entered rehab for alcohol abuse on at least two occasions.) Isn't anyone worried about how all of this will affect not just the couple's two children but Hobie? read more

I remember the whole 60 ...

Mike Wallace, 60 Minutes

Question: I remember the whole 60 Minutes controversy that became The Insider, but if I recall, that wasn't the first time the show had a fight on its hands. Wasn't there a lawsuit with Gen. William Westmoreland, too? What was that about?Answer: It wasn't actually 60 Minutes that was involved in the Westmoreland lawsuit, Lee. It was Mike Wallace, a correspondent for that show, who worked on a 1982 CBS News report titled The Uncounted Enemy: A Vietnam Deception. The main thrust of the report was that Westmoreland, the former commander of U.S. military forces in Vietnam, oversaw a military-intelligence effort to trick President Lyn read more

Pat O'Brien can't make up his mind. Is he a sports broadcaster who does entertainment news or is he a celebrity interviewer who dabbles in sports?
