The Illusion Travels By Streetcar

Although made in 1954, THE ILLUSION TRAVELS BY STREETCAR did not have its American premiere until 1977. The film is one of a number from Bunuel's Mexican period, when the director was allowed almost complete control over his material, therefore allowing him to include as many satirical and metaphorical statements against religion and the state as he desired.
