The Ice Pirates

An amiable spoof of science fiction pictures, THE ICE PIRATES suffers from a tiny budget that reduces the special effects to something less than special. The effort to capture the same audiences that went to see STAR WARS failed because the level of humor was so low that it became ludicrous. Urich (a sci-fi Robin Hood type) leads the pirates, a band of brigands, in robbing the rich and distributing to the poor. Crosby is a princess who has misplaced her explorer father who may, or may not, have found a new water supply for their galaxy, whose water is rapidly running out.
