Disappointing rodeo epic starring Coburn as an unappealing, quick-tempered bronco-buster who seeks to regain the respect of his wife (Nettleton), his son (Eccles), and his best friend (Pickens), while still retaining his freedom. The film is at its best when illustrating rodeo life, but
the characters are ill-drawn and weak. Director Ihnat, an actor who died soon after this film's release, brings some interesting and realistic details to the setting, but he fails when it comes to handling the actors' performances (especially that of Coburn, who appears too genial a personality to
